Jurek Tarp 2 Ul
Tarp 2 UL lightweight impermeable tarpaulin is flexible and can be used to create a shelter, extend the entrance to the tent or to create a single tent. Can be freely combined with rods, pins or lanyards not included. Trees, rocks or stones can also be used to secure the sail. High quality polyamide ripstop fabric is treated with Japanese PU and silicone, which give the material dimensional stability and UV resistance. The material is waterproof up to a water column of 6000 mm.

Types of fabrics used for TARP tarpaulins
The standard fabric is polyester RIPSTOP with PU coating and silicone treatment - strong, dimensionally stable, UV resistant, with a water column of over 10,000 mm and a grammage of approx. 93 g/m². The JZ fabric has a similar composition, but with a hydrophobic treatment on the face, higher mechanical resistance and a weight of 95 g/m². The lightweight fabric (TARP UL, TANE UL) is made of polyamide RIPSTOP with Japanese PU and silicone - lightweight (46 g/m²), less tensile strength and shorter lifetime, but with UV protection and a water column of over 6000 mm.

Water column
Indicates the resistance of the fabric and seams to water leakage. Indicates the amount of water that the material is able to hold before it begins to leak. The higher the value in mm, the higher the resistance of the tent. Each tent should have a tropical canopy with a water column of at least 2,000 mm, which is approximately the pressure exerted by a raindrop flying at 80-90 km/h. If you want to weather the storm unscathed, a water column of at least 3,000 mm is a better bet. A water column of 5,000 mm is recommended for normal hiking. For more demanding conditions, choose a subfloor with a water column of 8,000-10,000 mm.Specifications
