Lightweight construction and quality materials
The Husky Boston 5 New dural tent is made from a very lightweight and durable polyester material that is tear resistant and dries quickly. Synthetic polyester fibres increase protection against weather conditions, fading and wetness. The material is coated with polyurethane coating, which ensures water resistance with a water column parameter of 3000 mm H₂O. The aluminium alloy duralumin construction is lightweight but strong, ensuring high durability and stability even under heavy loads. This material is ideal for expedition tents where the emphasis is on light weight and high strength. The duralumin guarantees a high durability of the structure and facilitates handling during the construction and packing of the tent.

Water column
Indicates the resistance of the fabric and seams to water leakage. Indicates the amount of water that the material is able to hold before it begins to leak. The higher the value in mm, the higher the resistance of the tent. Each tent should have a tropical canopy with a water column of at least 2,000 mm, which is approximately the pressure exerted by a raindrop flying at 80-90 km/h. If you want to weather the storm unscathed, a water column of at least 3,000 mm is a better bet. A water column of 5,000 mm is recommended for normal hiking. For more demanding conditions, choose a subfloor with a water column of 8,000-10,000 mm.Specifications
