In the game Split Second: Velocity, you will be crashing into other vehicles and pushing them off the track, but not just that. There may be other sharp clashes that make the races even more dynamic. You need to be strategic and time your attacks. You can also tactically edit the existing tracks or create new ones. Split Second: Velocity combines the best of adrenaline street racing with breathtaking Hollywood visual effects. All this is added to the superb fighting in multiplayer. 8 players can participate in online races, and only two on a split-screen. The game also includes the support for LAN races for up to eight players.
In racing mode, the players are on a track where they will try to destroy their opponents and reach the finish line first. Let's not lie to ourselves, letting a giant plane fall on your computer-controlled opponent is great, but doing it to a friend and taking away his chance to win is priceless.
The fight for survival is the second game mode, where tractors come to play in the online mode. In this mode, you find yourself on challenging tracks in the convoy of giant racing trucks. You know very well what these monsters can do, for example, from the films Terminator 2, Duel or Bad Boys. The goal of the game was to emulate the feeling of being near such a colossus at full speed. That's why it was necessary to adjust the tracks so that you have to overtake the tractors at the smallest distance, while you're being pressed against the barriers. This was not enough for the developers, so they added another element. As you're approaching the tractor in front of you, exploding barrels are falling from its hull. You have to zigzag between them and wait for the right moment to overtake.
In single player mode, you will be accompanied by a group of computer-controlled cars that will be in your way and try to make your life a little more interesting (and short). Replace them with seven co-drivers, add a cocktail from sports cars, racing specials and tractors, and you've got everything ready for a unique demolition derby, set in an environment like a Hollywood blockbuster.
