The SparkFun module with a digital barometer allows you to measure height in metres and pressure in the range between 50 and 110kPa. It is equipped with an internal 24-bit converter for analog-to-digital signal conversion. The data is transferred to the microcontroller via the I2C (TWI) interface at a speed of up to 400MHz. The module also comes with a 12-bit thermometer for temperature measurement in the range between -40 and 85°C.
The sensor operates at a voltage range between 1.95 and 3.6V, allowing a direct control of the microprocessors operating at this voltage, such as the STM32Discovery, the Arduino Pro Mini 3.3V or the Raspberry Pi minicomputer. 5V systems like the Arduino Uno must be connected via a voltage converter.
The Spark Fun module can be connected using goldpin connectors (purchased separately) with 2.54mm pitch and basic soldering. Its conductive strips allow it to be connected directly or with wires.
