Sony XQD high-speed card is the newest standard storage media, developed by Sandisk, Sony and Nikon specifically for professional work with the data. The card is especially useful for advanced photographers and cameramen who work with large volumes of high-quality digital data. The new generation of memory cards allows read and write speeds of up to 1 Gb/s, which makes it convenient for storing large amounts of images in RAW format, or video without compression.
Transmission is specific not only high speed, but also reliability, allowing data are securely stored and protected. As used PCIe interface, which is capable of such a high bitrate handle, but Sony also offers the reader for USB 2.0/3.0 port (MRW-E80) and an adapter for the ExpressCard 34 slot (QDA-EX1).
