Which knives can be sharpened?
The Siguro Bamboo Base 3000/8000 sharpening stone is made of extremely hard and durable corundum, which allows you to sharpen knives made of very hard steel. How to use Siguro Bamboo Base?
Before grinding, the grinding stone must be soaked in water for 10 to 20 minutes. Then you can start grinding on the rougher side - put the knife at an angle of 15 to 20° to the stone (or use a guide) and then make smooth circles on the stone. Just a few strokes from each side of the knife. Once the knife is sharpened, inspect it. If the blade is smooth and shiny, it is properly sharpened. If the blade is dull or irregular, the grinding must be repeated.
How to clean and store Siguro Bamboo Base?
When you have finished grinding, just rinse the stone with water and a common detergent. It also includes a bamboo base in which the grinding stone can be stored, making the Siguro Bamboo Base an attractive addition to your kitchen. Allow the stone to dry thoroughly before placing it in the bamboo base.
