SIGMA 800mm F5.6 APO EX DG for Nikon

SIGMA 800mm F5.6 APO EX DG is the largest telephoto lens from a series of SIGMA lenses. This precise, perfectly designed lens will satisfy even the most demanding photographer. The 800mm focal length is especially suitable for use in extreme conditions with the emphasis on the highest quality. High optical performance is ensured over the entire focus range. The built-in HSM engine provides silent and high-speed focusing. The lens length is 521mm at a minimum focal length of 700cm.
This lens is specially coated to get the best colour balance whilst cutting down on ghosting caused by reflections from the digital image sensor. In the optical system consisting of 12 members in 9 groups, two ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) members are included. Two ELD glass elements provide optimum colour correction and sharpness, and a new multi-layer lens coating technology and optical formula reduces flare and ghosting. This also ensures an accurate colour balance and high definition results.

The lens has excellent optical properties, excellent mechanical processing and high quality materials. The lens can be combined with SIGMA 1.4x and 2x teleconverters.
