Sigma’s 10mm F2.8 EX DC Fisheye HSM lens is a diagonal fisheye which means the distorted scene is shown full frame within the camera’s field of view. The diagonal field of view produces striking images with exaggerated perspective of near subject & extreme barrel distortion of the surrounding areas. It allows photographers to shoot creative images by taking advantage of the acute perspectives that are invisible to the human eye. Sigma's 10mm diagonal fisheye has a bright maximum aperture of F/2.8 and Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) focusing. The built-in lens hood blocks out extraneous light, and the Super Multi-Layer Coating minimizes flare and ghosting, creating superior image quality.
The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) system ensures quiet and high-speed auto focusing with full-time manual focus override. DC lenses are exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras. The image circle (rear of lens) is made to match the smaller dimensions used for the image sensor on digital cameras. As a result, these lenses are also more compact and lightweight and are better matched to digital SLR cameras.
