Shanling SM1.3 black

Shanling SM1.3 black
The SM1.3 system was developed from the ground up for Shanling's new generation of streamers, using an upgraded 64-bit ARM Cortex processor. It is a deeply customised closed system based on Android 12, built to the high standards of Hi-Fi streamers and with user feedback in mind. The new user interface is designed with an emphasis on simpler and faster access to all system functions. The optimised main menu, settings and playback controls, along with fewer elements and clear labelling, contribute to a cleaner look and smoother navigation. Control is via the 5.8-inch 1080p touchscreen or the new Eddict Controller app.
Key features of the Shanling SM1.3 headphone amplifier

- Extensive connectivity including RCA, XLR, USB, I²S and SPDIF interfaces
Modern Shanling streaming system
Direct access to streaming apps lets you use services like Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Apple Music, Apple Classical, Amazon Music, Presto Music, or KKBox. A new app update system ensures they are always up to date. Support for NAS, Samba, DLNA and AirPlay 2 is also included for easy integration into various streaming environments.
High-quality sound performance
The SM1.3 builds on the high standards of sound quality set by the SCD1.3 player, using the same flagship combination of AKM AK4499EX and AK4191. It offers a highly detailed performance with a wide and accurate soundstage, complemented by a subtle warmth and smoothness for the most natural sound possible. With RCA and XLR outputs, it can operate either in pure line-out mode or as a high-quality preamplifier, making it the ideal DAC for speaker systems. For headphones, there's a dedicated 6.35mm output with a TPA6120 chip, suitable for a wide range of audiophile headphones.
Hi-Fi grade power supply – dual 31W toroidal transformers
Using two linear transformers allows for separate power supplies for the streaming and audio sections, which minimises mutual interference. The linear power supply is particularly crucial for the analogue section as it provides cleaner and more stable power than switched-mode power supplies. In a dedicated Hi-Fi streamer, this feature plays a vital role in achieving truly faithful sound.
Advanced digital transport – I2S with FPGA
In addition to its DAC function, the SM1.3 also excels as a digital transport thanks to its advanced I2S output. With a dedicated FPGA circuit, you can easily adjust the I2S pin configuration, which ensures compatibility with most DAC devices on the market. A bit-perfect USB audio output is also available, along with standard coaxial and optical SPDIF outputs.
