With the Schleich Therizinosaurus figurine, you can encounter the interesting world of dinosaurs. What was the therizinosaurus? The therizinosaurus (nicknamed the "lizard with a scythe") was a very imposing dinosaur, with gigantic claws that measured over 1 metre. To this day, no one knows why it needed such weapons, but they were likely used for self-defence or to pull leaves from the trees. Since only a few skeletal debris have been found, it is hard to predict what the dinosaur looked like and what its eating habits were. It grew to 10-12 metres in length and weighed 3-6 tonnes (belonging among the largest known theropods). Its arms were up to 2.5 metres long. This dinosaur lived about 72 to 68 million years ago.
