Rohnson DF-028 Health Kit for R-9212 True Ion & Air Purifier and R-91110 True Ion & Air Purifier dehumidifiers inserts into the grille that covers the air inlet at the back of the unit. This is a HEPA H12 filter, which can remove dust, mites, mold, allergens, bacteria and other microbes. The Rohnson DF-028 Health Kit HEPA H12 is not washable, but you can easily vacuum the dirt out of it. Replacement is easy and takes place approximately once a year. Of course, the wear rate of the filter depends on the air quality and how often you use the dehumidifier. If you use a HEPA filter, you will slightly reduce the performance of the dehumidifier.
