It can be set even without NEBULA, i.e. no cloud is necessary. Configured via Ethernet, on a device not connected to the Internet, from a fixed IP, in the same site segment as the Zyxel default in the manual. When first logging in, it was selected not to use the NEBULA cloud, then set to local / cloudless, no problem - in the menu of the router, it is then necessary to make sure that NEBULA registration is OFF. The modem GUI is not a hit parade, but it is not a complete tragedy. It is possible to set it up (but mainly no cloud). The interface of the modem and modem butovani is quite slow. But once it is set, it runs fine. The WAN DSL (with the DSLAM physically a block away) connection, which normally gives us the full speed of 250/25 Mbps directly on the cable, goes wirelessly ~240/25Mbps, and easily reaches the room one floor up, where it still gives ~230/25Mbps (on a PC with an 802.11ax card) - but this is the room directly above the modem. Where it permeates more walls/clutters, the speed drops. The normal speed in the building is then ~135 Mbps, but in places unfavourable for the signal it can be as low as ~30Mbps (but this is to be expected). In principle, satisfaction, for the money it is OK, and the device is relatively small, without ugly antennas.

I replaced the Extender with the device (for about 700Kč) and the results are astounding. The extender kept disconnecting and causing connectivity complications. Signal strength was poor. On recommendation I purchased NWA50AX. Initially we were going to buy a cheaper AP, but in the end we're glad I went with Zyxel. I was connected at home in about 5 min. And I'm no "I'm not an I.T." Performance on Wifi is 226Mbps for Download and 280Mbps for Upload. I agonized for a long time before I bought it and now I am maximally satisfied. I don't have time to write reviews, but maybe this will help someone, because this really works; )

For home use without the slightest problem. I have deployed it at a customer's place instead of older 802.11n wifi APs and all complaints about connection quality have suddenly stopped. The monitoring in the cloud management is nice, I get a notification that the device is disconnected from the internet for example, so the problems are known before the customer calls. APs can be operated individually without the cloud, but if there are more than one AP, each one must be configured separately (however, it is not a problem to save the configuration and copy it to the others). The disadvantage for enterprise deployments is the lack of WPA-Enterprise authentication, so individual users cannot be identified other than by device address (which iPhones mask by default). It is therefore not suitable for businesses and schools where they are keen on clarity. There you need to get a more expensive model.
