The bottom of the stand is solid and with sufficient slope for dripping. The bottom is easily removable from the stand structure. (This removability has the effect that the stand must not be moved too much. )
Everything is made of lacquered metal. The varnish has a high gloss and it looks like it should last, as long as the stand is not lying on a constantly wet board. The construction itself is pretty solid, joints clean, smooth.
The manufacturer does not provide for wall mounting (above the sink). Unfortunately this was my intention and the implementation of the attachment will be complicated.
