Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this device at all. We needed a second device to turn our older TV into a "smart TV", but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. I didn't have massive expectations since we are still talking about a Xiaomi device for £70, but when it can't even handle what it's supposed to, it's just sad and a waste of money. The build quality of the device and remote is actually quite good for this kind of money, but as far as the software is concerned, it's a disaster. After plugging it in and setting it up (which is the same as on any Android TV), it was already very slow and laggy in the menu. I thought it was just due to the initial setup and that the device was still booting and configuring itself. But unfortunately, it remained the same over time. As for the remote, the build quality is good, except it doesn't really want to respond, and when it does, only half of the buttons work. The power button doesn't respond, and the volume control doesn't respond either. The device basically doesn't know what it's supposed to do, the operating system can't handle it, and when it actually receives a command, it either doesn't respond, freezes, or crashes the app. As I said, I didn't have high expectations for a device at this price point, and I was even pleasantly surprised by the packaging and the build of the whole device. The box, the contents, and the device itself felt almost premium to me, but really only on the outside. What the device claims to offer in its description is simply not true. Even with low expectations, I am really disappointed.

I purchased this product and wanted to connect it to my android car and use my mobile as a hotspot, unfortunately even after several hours of trying (lots of restarts, both device and mobile failed to pair. The device sees the mobile, the mobile sees the device generates a code and that's the end of it. I'm going to return the device.

The picture is not even close to 4k. Maybe better HD.
