So far, I'm very happy with the phone. The large battery gives me standard two-day battery life with my usage, and I can sometimes get three days of operation out of it. It charges quickly. The system is surprisingly snappy overall, the display is great, and the sound is also good. Photos from the camera are surprisingly good too. The water and dust resistance is great; I wouldn't want a phone without it these days. I'm satisfied and don't regret the purchase – I definitely recommend it.

I was upgrading from a Xiaomi Redmi 13 whose battery was on its last legs. I had to charge it at least twice a day. The Xiaomi system is quite nice, but the phone was really starting to run out of steam. That's why I decided to buy a new phone, and while I was looking, an ad for this new range popped up. Since I really only use my phone for everyday tasks, I chose the cheaper option (if you can call a 6000 Kč phone a cheaper option), but I wanted a model with 5G for faster browsing. I assumed the Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 would be snappier than my ancient Redmi 13. Unfortunately, that's not the case. I don't feel any significant speed increase in the system or in downloaded data. The only plus is the larger battery, which now lasts me up to 2 days with my usage. On the other hand, I can't move the Google search gadget to the top edge of the display, the clock with weather also doesn't have a widget that's usable for me, and for 6200 Kč after a discount, the phone doesn't seem adequate. Yes, you could argue, what do you expect for 6000 Kč, but I know you can buy snappier phones for that money. What I do like, on the other hand, are the photos. They look very nice on the display; I'm no pro, that's just how I see it. All in all, I'm not thrilled with the phone. This is probably my last phone from Xiaomi.
