I did end up returning it, but only for one reason: I wanted the speaker primarily for listening to the spoken word before falling asleep. But since you're adjusting the volume and you hit a limit (both the highest and the lowest), there's a really loud beep. And this is not what you or your offspring want to hear before falling asleep.
