the supplied cable is not suitable for charging in a handbag or backpack. This is what the manufacturers didn't think of. The short cable has USB-C on one side and the other side has to be plugged into USB-C for charging, this connection is often disconnected. I think the powerbank is bought just so users can charge their devices in their bag. However, the cable is sufficient for charging a device lying loose on a table.
