Assemble and tighten before mounting to the ceiling, including clamping the projector. Then mark the points for attachment to the ceiling. You cannot change the projection direction too much afterwards without enabling the individual parts. The projector then wobbles.

Once screwed to the ceiling, the horizontal projection direction can no longer be changed. Vertical only.
