I bought this for the occasional clean of our hot tub and it does its job honourably. However, because it needs to be submerged and has a rather bulky body, it can't be used behind the loungers if they're part of the hot tub, as is the case with ours.
The weaker performance then limits the speed at which it can suck up debris, and if you're a bit impatient, it ends up stirring more than it vacuums. For a small pool, it's a bit of a luxury, and for a larger one, it's not powerful enough. For our 2.8x2.8m, I chose the luxury route, but I don't feel like I've made a bad purchase. It's definitely worth considering.
