it's drying, so I hope I didn't make the mistake of not returning it right away
Closed air cycle so there are no steam baths in the bathroom after drying
unnecessarily complicated touch/swivel control, where with the old dryer one button was enough, this one requires several steps
forgets the settings, so for example to make it beep at the end, you need to turn it on every time (touch it twice, turn it back and forth and press the wheel)
makes loud clicking and ringing sounds
the length of the basic cycle is actually 2h 38min
contains a huge number of virtually identical programs
all programmes (even for small quantities or one piece) first spin the drum full and the fan immediately stuffs the lighter laundry under the door, where it is scrubbed until the end of the cycle
no 6th sense, even idle goes the whole long cycle
the shape of the drum is strange compared to the previous dryer, so that with a fuller load, the laundry is wrapped into one bale by rotation and does not dry inside
subjectively measured with a handheld meter, it is at least 10dB noisier than the label indicates (even when empty)
all pluses and minuses are when compared to a 6 year old and now broken dryer, I have no idea how the competition is doing today, but the positive web reviews for this dryer just lie

Quiet - compared to our previous one (10 years old Beko) it is incredibly quiet for a dryer, almost like a washing machine and especially with a more pleasant higher tone, so it doesn't hum and resonate so much and behind closed doors it is practically not audible at all
Fast - laundry out of the washing machine with 1400 rpm. dried in an hour and a bit (with the dry to hang setting, which meant almost completely dry).
Cheap - bought on Black Friday + Cashback. However, after my little experience so far, I would happily recommend it for a much higher price. The nearest competitor with the parameters I require, class A+++ and noise level of 62 dB, costs 20,000
Operation - easy to use and clean, I learned to use it in 5 minutes
Laundry - perfect as ironed, no lumps and dirt, smells great even without scented wipes.
Controls - subjectively I find very flimsy control wheel, spinning and squeezing to confirm the choice and the bottom buttons are such a hybrid of touch / button control and have the worse of the two - the gentle press does not respond and the stronger again does not have the button response, so you wait for the beep, no hit parade compared to the competition.
Whirlpool - but this is just such a personal aversion to this brand, which is not among the highest quality and most reliable and never excels in tests of any appliances, but hopefully something will last.
