It makes strange noises even when I turn it off in disk manager. For use in a desktop PC at home, where it is relatively quiet, it is quite noisy and vibrates a lot, until it resonated with my whole desk and monitors. I can imagine it somewhere in a tech room in a home server or something though. Otherwise there was no problem with the drive, the write speed is unexpectedly high for a classic HDD
