When transferring a small amount of data up to a few GB, it doesn't matter, but woe betide you when you organize large amounts of data - 200MB of data for example 2 hours (meaning faster data, like photos, videos, files with GB of data - I'm not mentioning copying fonts or thousands of small files in kB). Heaven forbid you want to move 4GB to another drive - 6-10 hours of copying and it's already noticeable. Measured while working with a superfast graphics machine and a USB cable from WD.
