I feel like I'm reading Perry Mason, or maybe more like Donald Lam. So I'm always a bit puzzled by the use of mobile phones, computers and the internet there, because it wasn't in Gardner's books. I have to admit that even though I was initially suspicious of this book, it's definitely not a bad read. It is an enjoyable read although at times it seems to me that the author is again deliberately stretching and some of the descriptive plots are a bit off. I give it 70%, maybe my opinion is skewed and it's better because I started reading the book between the 2nd and 3rd. Millennium (Stieg Larsson), and since that's a slightly different cup of coffee I'm riding a different wave now, but I'm definitely curious about the next Cormoran Strike book.
Typos and misspellings abound here as in other books. This is not the fault of the author or the seller, but it is certainly no reason not to read the book. A message to book proofreaders - hell, if you're too lazy to read it and rely on Word to correct it, then ditch the job.
