When selecting a phone based on the price/performance ratio, the high-spec budget phone Vodafone Smart 7 Ultra is definitely worth your notice. For a very nice price it offers software and accesories which would comfortably rival even those of high-end devices of established brands several years ago. Unlike the Smart Ultra 6 model it features all the Czech LTE bands and a much more efficient eight-core MediaTek processor 6755.
The Smart Ultra 7 comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen with a corresponding 401ppi density, which ensures high fineness even in the surrounding view. These figures then result in strikingly sharp pictures.
The latest IPS display technology means you can enjoy the same clarity from any angle without any noticeable colour-shift. The resistant 2.5D cover glass has a smooth finish and is sensually curved without any sharp edges.
With a display this great, it is only logical to expect that the quality of the phone's camera and its resulting photography would be at the very least equally as good. And you would be right in this assumption.the Smart Ultra 7 features a front-facing 5MP camera and a rear-facing 13MP camera with autofocus and flash. The latter also supports high dynamic range (HDR) feature, which accurately portrays fine details and the captured colours appear very realistic. Fans of selfies will be pleased to find out that Vodafone chose to add a front-facing LED flash to the Smart Ultra 7 which helps to brighten up dark selfies. You can also enable a mode where a ‘v’ sign serves as an activation gesture. In terms of a video, the Smart Ultra 7 offers 1080p HD at 30fps.
The phone comes packing the latest version of Android operation system – 6.0 Marshmallow – and this pushes the smartphone's efficiency even further. It also features a 2960mAh battery, which, in the Intelligent Power Saving mode, lasts up to two days of active operation use on a single charge. The Smart Ultra 7 features 16GB of internal storage and while that may be adequate to some, others will be happy to learn that users can easily expand the built-in storage by up to 32GB thank to the MicroSD card slot. And it's even possible to make use of Android Marshmallow's ability to adopt microSD card storage as internal storage to save app data.
One of the biggest draws of the Ultra 7 is a full set of network connectivity options. This is a dual-standby phone and supports all 4G LTE bands used in the Czech Republic. Along with 4G connectivity, the Smart Ultra 7 offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n dual-band, providing users with the option to connect to a newer, faster 5GHz Wi-Fi connections when not roaming around on Vodafone’s 4G. Along with Wi-Fi, the Smart Ultra 7 offers Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS and a number of sensors, including an accelerometer, proximity sensor and compass. The smartphone also features the classic 3.5mm stereo plug for headset or headphones to use alongside the integrated music player.
