A decent SSD as a hard drive replacement. For normal use, it is sufficient.
I bought two.
One (+ 8GB of RAM) as a replacement for a NB (about 10 years old with Win10) instead of a classic HDD . The disc brought him incredibly alive.
Second one (again + 8GB RAM + upgrade and Win7->10), to a circa 13 year old PC (overkill for its time) as a replacement for one of the first Intel SSDs. Here, too, there has been a noticeable acceleration.
For mainstream use in the SATA SSD category, it is pointless to pay extra for a more expensive one, the speed is limited by the connection. Lifetime for normal use "unlimited", reliability I hope also.
The 13 year old Intel SSD still works without any problems.
cheap
price\performance for normal use (within SATA connection)
I first used the drive for about 2 months in a notebook where the motherboard failed after a while. I had a disc left over, so I put it in an older multimedia PC near the TV. He was only in it for TWO days. I complained and even after the second time, after three days he left. Maybe it was a bug in my PC, but if not, watch out for it: )
Speed versus HDD
In the laptop without problems
Non-functionality on desktop (maybe only in my case)
