Podle analýzy se zdá, že alespoň moje jednotka používá čip Barrot BR8554 (USB ID 33fa:0012). Zpočátku vše fungovalo bez problémů, ale po pár hodinách od prvotního zapojení se začalo sekat Bluetooth audio. Upstream Linux kernel pro tento čip obsahuje speciální implementaci, ta ale zatím není zcela odladěná. Barrot není mezi výrobci Bluetooth čipů příliš známá značka. Prozatím používám můj předchozí i tento adaptér současně – na starém mám připojená sluchátka a na novém ostatní zařízení. Linux není oficiálně uveden mezi podporovanými systémy, což samo o sobě není nic neobvyklého. V tomto případě to ale může skutečně znamenat omezenou funkčnost. Je pravděpodobné, že podpora tohoto adaptéru v upstream Linux kernelu bude během následujících měsíců dále vylepšena. Speciální adaptace pro tento čip byla přidána teprve relativně nedávno.
Nefunguje spolehlivě na nejnovějším Linux kernelu (7.1.5-cachyos, distribuce NixOS)
