Next to this adapter fits another cable plugged into the MacBook
After a year of civilian use, my female “fell out“ - she got out of the body and stopped working as a whole. This was preceded by a plastic crack on this adapters. (Too stiff hdmi cable that didn't want to hold position)
In MacBook, the female does not hold the charger, it just slides in

The device as such is perfect, but for my purposes (connecting tlf with external monitor/TV) it is unsuitable because the phone does not charge when connected. For some it may not matter, but I preferred to exchange the goods for a USB charging cable (from the same manufacturer)
