A great projector for home cinema, literally for a song. The hub is, at the time of writing this user review, just under 3600kč, with the Alza discount. In the world of projectors, it's barely the price of a single replacement lamp (there are more expensive lamps) and that's without shipping, or it's about the price of a muffled greeting from an IT service technician at your door. For this lean price, you get a brand new projector from Vankyo, a 120" projection "blanket", remote control (no AAA batteries) and a 230V power and HDMI data cable. The manual is in English and is quite clear, thank you.
Just plug the projector into electricity, add a video source and turn it on. It works right away and loads quickly (only a few seconds), so there is no long waiting for the lamp to heat up, the same when switching off, no lengthy run time and aftercooling. Since it's a cheap LCD projector with lower ANSI, you need at least a somewhat darkened room, or better yet, darkness, to project. I connected an external 120GB SSD (powered by USB) to the projector via USB, selected the movie format from it. AVI and it was on. I have a 2m wide roll-up screen at home. The attached projection "blanket" from Vankyo, I have not tried yet. The distance, across the width of the living room, from the projector lens to the projection screen, is 3.1m. The projector can, at this short distance, in 16:9 display mode, an estimated image width of about 2.3-2.4m. On a 2m wide screen, I have to electronically shrink the image in the projector menu. Even so, it is a decent diagonal of about 2.6m, for a prefab living room, it is quite enough. In 4:3 mode, the image fits on my screen with a margin, without correction. The trapezoid correction is limited to +-15deg. which isn't much. It is adjusted mechanically by tilting the mirror, by a wheel on the back of the stand. This inexpensive series of projectors is primarily designed for direct placement, approximately in the middle of the projection area. It is not stated anywhere, but these projectors are not suitable for projection from the ground, from the ceiling or from the corner of the room, the projector does not have more corrections, except for focusing the image. What impresses you when you first see the film, besides the nice picture, is the very high quality sound, straight from the projector. Usually it is in projectors, just some emergency 1W loudspeaker, with Vankyo V700W it is almost pure surround sound (within the limits, 2x5W speakers in plastic), with Dolby Audio, which even very expensive projectors, some audio players or radios would not be ashamed of. The image is reasonable for the price of the projector, I rate it as very good, or excellent, it can be sharpened electronically, via remote control, or via buttons on the device. The projector supposedly suppresses harmful blue radiation, I have no way of knowing. Some users complain that the projector hums. It is a feature of the projector, the lamp must be fan cooled. Turn the sound on the projector up to a reasonable volume and after a while you won't notice the fan. The projector is not designed for silent listening, or you can use headphones (wired or BT, the projector can do both) if that bothers you. From headphones, of course, listening is even better, you just forget, during the projection, to perceive the surroundings, pure relaxation sets in. I will add that I think the Vankyo fan is quieter than my previous BenQ DLP projector of the same size, which I am now sending into projector retirement with icy calm, as it is simply not enough for the Vankyo "youngster". One of the essential parameters for choosing a new projector is the lamp life. For DLP projectors, the lamp life is around 1-3k. hours, only occasionally a few dozen hours longer, and only if you're using a faded, sprawling eco-mode. Then the DLP will lock up your projector and you have to replace the lamp. For LCD projector Vankyo V700W, the lamp life is written 15 thousand hours, probably it will be even longer. This means that if you project at least two two-hour feature films every day, seriously, including holidays, foreign vacations, birthday parties and New Year's Eve, the Vankyo lamp in your projector will last more than 10 years! And in 10 years you'll probably get another projector, of a better technological level, not just a lamp for an old machine. Just forget about the lamp in the Vankyo projector and enjoy the projection. I briefly tried zooming the image, mirroring the display from my mobile phone, everything works great I just don't know why the description on the Alza to the projector is written Netflix and Disney + service, I think that with these directly, the projector has nothing to do, just projects the image, and plays the sound, ketrý to the projector bring. If you are still deciding on buying a projector for home use, for projecting movies or viewing your photos, mostly in the evening or during the day in a darkened room (just close the curtains) on the windows, the Vankyo V700W is an excellent choice, in terms of price/performance ratio!
