I've had two sonic brushes but this one surprised me very pleasantly because you get a lot of music for little money. With this toothbrush I have perfectly clean teeth.
I am the most expensive Philips sonic toothbrush that has lasted barely 2 years. This one is comparable in terms of its primary function, i.e. sonic cleaning. I don't see any fundamental difference. Yes, the materials are 'cheaper', the plastic travelling pouches are really thick, the base is light and the tab is a bit wobbly. but I take it all as a compromise for a low price.
Alza does not state in the description that the head or charging base are NOT compatible with other brushes of this brand (UV). It can no longer be returned after unpacking, unusable for us: (
