A ball would be ok, but it's made of pretty heavy material, so the puppy basically couldn't carry it. Probably ok for adult dogs.
Can be filled with treats - more fun
The ball is heavy enough for smaller dogs

When I picked it up, I gave it a lifetime of about 5 minutes because of how soft it is. I was wrong. I have a 2-year-old christening Stafford and Ridgeback, he unwraps almost every toy in a moment. Not this mickey.
One of the little mics my liquidator didn't destroy in 10 minutes. He's had it for a few days now and it's still holding.
Nice jumping
Removes dental plaque
