It turned out to be an essential accessory for our new model, because the supplied USB charger isn't very practical, which I expected. Thanks to the new Traxxas ID connector, I can't use my previous B6AC either – well, a solution could probably be found, but this original one is simply more user-friendly. Unfortunately, I expected the build quality to be a bit better and although it serves its purpose perfectly, the ridiculously noisy fan and the strong smell of 'cheap' electronics really let this device down. What's more, it's not just that the fan is noisy; it sounds like a dying, clogged-up fan on a 30-year-old graphics card that takes the first half a minute to get going, gradually changing its sound. For an original charger from a brand like Traxxas, especially for this price, it's not amusing but rather sad, particularly when the manufacturer is pushing us towards this solution.
