The product may work well, but the business practices around subscriptions are unreal. I'll leave aside the misleading and false help on the web. When the subscription was suspended, the service stopped working during the period that was still paid. The customer interface is disastrous - cancellation options are absurdly hidden, unclear and the user is led to make more payments, over and over again. When you suspend a subscription, it asks for a date to start again, etc. To cancel your subscription, you must have a suspended subscription. reactivate first - pay again. In my experience this is a manipulative and unfair practice, which I will continue to address through the relevant consumer authorities.

The device itself is quite small and the cat doesn't particularly mind, which is about the only positive I can find about it.
As for the main function, i.e. tracking the cat's position, unfortunately Tractive is completely unreliable. Very often the devices report completely different positions than where the cat is actually located. I checked it once and the deviation was easily 50 meters! Because of that, I was looking for a cat on a completely different side of the hill.
The other big problem is that if the cat device gets lost in the range of your home Wi-Fi and to do this it loses the mobile network signal. This means that the device no longer sends any updated data - and you then have to find the device by walking around and trying to catch the Bluetooth signal from the tracker. This has unfortunately become a daily bread in our country.
If I add to that the annual subscription price (around 1800 CZK for network and data), I definitely don't recommend this device. For the money one expects reliability, which unfortunately Tractive does not offer at all.
It may work better for some (in open terrain without obstacles), but in my experience it's more of an expensive and frustrating experiment than a real help in finding a stray cat. Attached is a photo of how the device travels lying on the ground in the app.
