After two years, I have now (2024) bought 2 more adapters to receive internet to the smart TV (WiFi signal was not keeping up and the TV was "jamming"). The pairing was quick and easy. The result is flawless TV operation with no "stuttering. When not in use, the adapter automatically enters power saving mode.
Last week I bought and installed 2 TL-PA4010P Starter Kit adapters. I live in an old house with stone walls, with 50-100 years old wiring. I didn' t want to cut new data cables in the wall. I relocated the modem to the ground floor due to WiFi and the computer remained on the first floor. I have mentioned 2 adapters between the modem and the computer. TP-LINK reports a transfer rate between adapters of up to 600 Mbps. In my terms and conditions, tpPLC Utility shows me download 215 Mbps and upload 232 Mbps. I have purchased Internet HD Stříbrný for a fixed line from O2 with the stated transmission speed at the connection point: download max. 50 Mbps and upload max. 5 Mbps, which is at least true. Now, after installing the adapters, I have measured about 2/5 slower transmission with an Ethernet cable than before, when I had a modem at my computer and a fixed telephone line connected to the modem. Specifically via www.speedtest.net now shows me a download of 27.32 Mbps and an upload of 6.03 Mbps. Well, that' s more than a luxury for my needs. That is, if I understand correctly, I am far from exploiting the potential for baud rates between these adapters. I am limited only by the purchased tariff. And that' s exactly what I expected from the TL-PA4010P.
Too bad there is no option to buy only 1 piece for expansion. But it's the manufacturer's right.
No experience with the product as it is non-functional. bad experience with unpacked goods from Alza.
Despite the last negative review of 22.2. I bought an unpacked package. I assume it' s the same that customers have returned and sold and are coming back repeatedly. but the goods are not working. I do not recommend.
goods sold as “unpacked“ have been complained about before and of course Alza sells them again as functional with a discount of a few cents, but with the next day delivery to AlzaBox. Unpacked will not be delivered to you in one day!
