I bought the camera mainly for remote monitoring of my 3D printer and not for asset protection. So take my opinion into consideration - I have turned off all "smart" functions on the camera, I have not tested them and I don't need them.
Via RTSP and ONVIF it works also with other than TP-Link software
Works without internet connection (but without date and time) on local WIFI
Without internet connection, it is not possible to set the date and time manually

Works if you're happy with default settings, because there's no way to change them
The app has a pretty modern interface
No way to trigger the alarm manually, only on "automatic" detection, but I couldn't get it working even when a person or motion was detected
Lacks basic video controls like zoom (outside of pinch in the app) or exposure and brightness control
The app requires a TP-Link account, no way to use it without one
Looks better in the marketing material because the cable sticks out the side rather than being tucked round the back

For the money, the camera does exactly what it's supposed to. The camera needed to be updated, I recommend checking. Shoots in 2K at 30fps the picture is perfectly sufficient. I was surprised by the microphone which is sensitive and the sound can be heard even from a distance. Application in Czech quite easy to connect and setup.
