It works better than I expected.
Although the transfer speeds are the same, websites load much more quickly on the extended stable network.
I haven't yet discovered why this is the case, but I stop seeing the 5G network after a while if I'm not connected to it. I'm going to investigate to see if some firmware upgrade solves this.

The extender works as expected - it fulfilled its purpose.
The GUI is clear, intuitive.
The LEDs can be switched off.
Power can be controlled.
Can also be operated as AP.
The Ethernet port can be assigned to either a 2.4GHz or 5GHz network. Not both at the same time.
After rebooting, it only connects preferentially to the 2.4 GHz network (it's stronger), even though it has both set up.
It's not clear (I couldn't test) how it works when both bands are connected, whether it sends them on or also routes them.
It heats up quite a lot (at full power).
The iOS app isn't much.
