Most of the time it works as it should (I use it to receive a 2.4 GHz hotspot signal from my phone).
Quick.
On average, once a day the connection drops for unknown reasons (and only comes back up after resetting the hotspot).
Drivers for WIN 7 must be installed from the included CD.

The adapter works fine most of the time. Installation of the included drivers is not necessary (I don't even recommend it, it works worse with them). Unfortunately, the adapter occasionally decides it doesn't have an internet connection. The signal from the wifi is still strong, but there is no connection. The internet works on other devices, so the connection itself is not the problem. This problem recurs at irregular intervals. Unfortunately, turning off LDPC or uninstalling the TP-link driver (as recommended by one of the reviews) did not solve the problem.

This was a smash success for me. I was using my sim ("unlimited speed") for a hotspot and it was clocking in at about 138Mbps, but PC only 40 Mbps. After installation of TP (easy), my PC now matches my 5G phone in speed at over 130 Mbps. Huge difference. I had to make sure to go into device manager and set the Adapter to 5G. At 2.5G it was clocking in at 60Mbps. Now it is very fast - at least for my uses.

Speed I think is fine. I also play games such as COD, Enlisted, and everything is fine. Unfortunately, the first piece stopped working after less than a year. I got the second one and starts fooling around again: - / I don' t touch him, he' s on a desktop computer and he' s not mechanically stressed. Next time I prefer another option.
