A "must-have" item if you're transporting an expensive bicycle. Considering the price of the bike and the rack, it's a relatively "negligible" expense. Simple to install and very easy to use. While it might not be 100% protection, it will deter or at least slow down a potential thief.
simple installation
quite a sturdy design
The key cannot be matched with the THULE carrier locks - it's a different mechanical design.
