I put a rim that is 15cm high in the tray and I wouldn't dent the lockable paws anymore. The lid is hinged on the rim, photo attached.
the tray is solid and wide, the cooling plate from the bottom is great
Unfortunately the 18cm height is the height of the product, the lid still has a recess inside where the handle is, so it takes another cm. So in the end, the cake fits about 14cm in height and it's tip top.
