The knife and the entire range lure you in with a 10-year warranty and Japanese steel, however, both the poultry shears I bought and the two knives dramatically lost their sharpness after the first use on a chicken carcass – the shears won't cut skin, and the santoku has to be "slid" over a tomato, whereas Vives cuts through a tomato on its own. Yet the marketing tempts you with Japanese quality and unbelievable sharpness. On top of that, for what is a really high price in the mid-range category, Tescoma should pay a bit of attention to customer service – the poultry shears have been sent for a warranty claim a week ago and I've had no response. With a 10-year warranty, I would expect a different dynamic in customer care.
