I can fully recommend this new version. Finally, Tefal has learned its lesson and improved the sandwiching of the bottom. He understood that users also put it in the dishwasher, where the protruding aluminum suffered and then there was water leakage between the aluminum body and the steel plate, when it was heated, due to the formation of steam, the metal bottom of the pan or pot was blown off - I experienced it 2x. The surface is also improved and is more durable and harder (i. e. harder to scratch). For me, I can definitely recommend this version of the pan - especially compared to the older type design.
