Although the manufacturer states the possibility of using normal water, I don't really want to believe it, because after a few ironings the iron started to show a problem with steam generation.
After a couple of months it was necessary to run the anti-calc mode several times to generate steam, after a year in anti-calc mode the iron started to shut off. Without steam generation the iron is useless, it irons almost nothing.
Submitted for complaint.

No need for distilled water, just plain water.
Large water tank.
It steams even when placed on a pedestal with water until the water runs down the pedestal.
According to the statement of fy. Tefal is not a steam generator, but it is a steam iron with a larger water tank. After this experience, it is better to buy a more expensive real steam generator.
