The only, but very annoying, unforgivable feature of this otherwise ordinary kettle is its switch lever. This lever, which, as stated in the reviews, does not contain a diode and therefore it is impossible to tell whether it is cooking or not. 90% of the times I tried to turn the kettle on, I pushed the lever to the boil position, which it did not stay in and returned to the no-boil position. The kettle also shuts off when the table it is standing on is shaken.
