We bought the grill as a replacement for a previous inferior model (Meat Grill UC600 Classic) which had fewer programs, and a less well placed temperature control. In this model, the location of the grill programs on the grill opening, so the body is easier to wash. Also the juice tray in front of the grill is better designed. Overall, the construction is sturdy, and the grill has sufficient power. For a family I would recommend the XL model (for 2 this is fully sufficient)
