If the pot was really for 10l litres and the lid didn't have a huge gap it would be fine and 100% to recommend. There doesn't even have to be a hole at the top for the exhaust. 😂 At Christmas I put the pot of food outside to cool and taped it to prevent squirrels from getting in.

Nice pot, well made. However, it is listed as having a capacity of 10 litres, which it does have, but only when filled to the brim, so this is only the theoretical maximum capacity. Realistic usable volume will be somewhere around 9 litres. I had to return the pot because of this, I needed 10 litres of usable volume.
