The categorization for a four-year-old fits. Unlike other puzzles with about 25 pieces for three-year-olds, this one has a more complicated picture. The fact that the pieces are quite regular, there is no fixed edge to the puzzle and the picture contains gradual colour transitions makes it even more difficult to assemble.
