Purchased for use as a full hub for other Matter devices I would eventually purchase. The mobile app is cool, the music itself managed to set up. Unfortunately the attempt to add a smart Tapo socket failed despite all efforts and research. Only later did we find out that it is not a full-fledged Smart Hub, but only a half hub with limited support for selected devices (specifically sensors), which can be connected to a normal hub. So it's been sitting at home for a while and I don't know what to do with it. Unfortunately, I tried after the return period.

If you have internet at home and work with Tapo in the cloud, everything is OK and I can recommend it. But I chose it because the solution was supposed to be functional even without internet or when the internet was down.
The description on this site states that it is independent of internet connection. Quote: "With the Tapo H100 Smart IoT Hub, your favourite features will now work even when the internet is down. The central unit does not require a connection to the cloud or other services, so it is immune to internet outages, enabling immediate responses for reliable home automation. " It's not true. Without available internet (even with a mere outage), automations are not functional, not only in the Tapo app, but also when you physically press a button, for example. Once the Internet is up and running, it will start working. You also need to be logged in to your cloud account, otherwise the Tapo app won't load at all.
