One of the best NAS for moderately demanding home users. It has everything it needs in a small box. From backing up the entire PC/NB via the media center, either via DLNA on the local network or via paid remote services PLEX, Emby, etc. Online synchronisation using Google drive or e.g. Dropbox is what I use. Transfer speeds are great with my 1000/1000 Mbit synchronous line. The only significant complaint is that the Download Station only supports files up to 2GB, but this can be solved by transferring within the OS of the computer/laptop (up to 110 MB/s for a large file over LAN or around 32 MB/s over WIFI 6 standard AX) Higher models will offer more features but for the average BFU this is the ideal choice, this is what Synology has been doing for a long time and is so "Best of".

Absolutely professional network drive / NAS, works as it should, it is fast, quiet, I have it connected to the gigabit switch with two RJ45. So far I have "only" 2x 4TB WD Red Plus drives.

Occasionally the fuses at my house go out, so I bought a UPS to shut down the NAS safely. But even in an outage without a UPS, I didn't lose data. The installation of the UPS was absolutely simple, just connect via USB and set up in the menu.
Easy installation, I back up my computers, mobile phones. I was impressed by Linux because of its simple, functional and intuitive controls.
