It is necessary to understand that the device is used for subnetting two different networks with one UTP cable. So the device must be used in pair - always on both ends (common use for simultaneous LAN & IPTV). Otherwise the other port will not work
If you want to "fork" the LAN, buy a switch: -)
100Mbps only
If you need to maintain 1Gbps - you need to solve via a smart/managed switch that supports VLAN tag & trunking (again, you need pairwise use at both ends + configuration)
