We bought this out of desperation. We put it on the outside of the window and the effect is noticeable – the window doesn't heat up. But it doesn't have a significant effect on the temperature in the room. Maybe a degree, two at most, but even classic internal blinds do a better job (we compared it with the window next to it). Considering you don't want to look through it anyway (it's like looking through a dirty camera lens), in a pinch, it's better to shut an isothermal foil from the pharmacy, which costs pennies, in the window – that will make a bigger temperature difference.
better than nothing - but what isn't in the description and you only find out on the product itself is the fact that it's only 40% effective (which seems about right)
Little effect for the price.
The installation is a nightmare – I followed the instructions to the letter, including cleaning the window, and there's still dirt and bubbles underneath (although they did mostly disappear after a few days).
Probably the worst thing is that it "smudges the image" - the view through it isn't nice.
