I was looking for wireless headphones that would be comfortable for me (I struggle a bit with heavier headphones, which then give me headaches from the weight and pressure), and their weight of 324g is right on the edge for me. However, I probably could have got used to the weight. They have a nice, high-quality build, and I was happy with the sound quality as such, but from my point of view, the directional audio is poor, so I couldn't tell which direction gunfire, footsteps, etc., were coming from. Maybe it can be set up better in the Sonar software, which I found confusing, but I gave up trying when my friend joined the chat and told me the microphone was so awful that he could hear me from very far away and it sounded like I had a cold. So after an hour of gaming, I packed them up and took them back the next day. I ended up with the Logitech A20X instead, which aren't perfect either, but they are lighter (290g), so more comfortable for me after several hours of gaming, and the directional audio works correctly right out of the box without me having to adjust anything, and the microphone is of standard quality without any weird noises. I bought the Nova 7 during the Alza Days sale for 3,000 CZK, but the usual price is around 4,700 CZK, and for that price, I was expecting almost perfect headphones.

So the software adds 5 DIFFERENT OUTPUTS in Windows sound settings. Sometimes the game audio is in my headphones while the IN-GAME VOICE CHAT from the SAME GAME is coming from MY SPEAKERS. This is the weirdest headset I have ever tested. Any HyperX would be the same OR BETTER.

I was upgrading from my 6.5-year-old Arctis 7 headphones, which I’d grown particularly fond of because of their excellent comfort. With the new Nova range, however, SteelSeries has significantly reduced the size of the ear cups, so the new headphones don’t fit over my ears. At the same time, I was startled by the sound. Even the original Arctis 7 didn’t have particularly good sound quality, but after fiddling with the equaliser for a bit, I was satisfied. However, the sound here is extremely bass-heavy, and even after several hours of tweaking, I couldn’t get it to sound listenable.

I'm switching from hyperx cloud core, you can't even get it nowadays. The sound of the microphone is supposedly terrible, for the price. My old headphones and incomparably cheaper ones sound better. On the middle path I sounded blurred and as if from a distance. Maybe fiddling with the Eq would fix it, but at that price I'd want to tweak the sound, not completely set it up
